Description

We currently have a vacancy for a Development Tutor (Scale 4). The role requires a practitioner to plan, deliver and innovate personal development programmes, predominately using outdoor adventurous activities, to engage Cardiff's socially excluded young people.

The Prince's Trust works with young people in some of the m ost deprived areas of the UK, giving them the motivation, confidence and skills they need to change their lives. Fairbridge is proud to be continuing that work as one of the fantastic programmes The Prince's Trust provides for young people to support them to move into education, employment or training.

Requirements

ML Summer
SPA
BCU Level 2 Coach
Local Cave Leader
Mountain bike leader award
ML Winter / MIA
Youth work or outdoor education qualifications
Essential :
Outdoor first aid certificate
Other desirable qualifications include
Basic Counselling
Mental health first aid
Training in drugs and alcohol misuse
Training in Sexual health
Health and safety
Advanced safe guarding

You will also have a full clean driving licence, ideally with D1 + E enabling you to drive minibuses with a trailer. Your ability to inspire and relate to our challenging client group, along with your awareness of issues affecting young people, is key.
