Description

The Assistant Cook helps the Head Cook to provide good quality food and excellent service which is key to the enjoyment of members and guests. The Catering is run from our galley on board Egremont, a converted ex Mersey ferry, which provides accommodation and facilities for residents, non-residents and staff, which can reach over 120 people at the height of the season.

Working closely with the Head Cook, you will be part of a team responsible for providing 2 to 3 meals a day for our clients and members.

The success of the catering operation has a direct impact on the overall success of the ICC and as such this gives the Assistant Cook the opportunity to learn a great deal from the Head Cook who will be seeking to really excel in providing good food out of a self-organised, well-run catering service.

A happy, outgoing person who isn’t afraid of hard work and who thrives on excellent customer service, with an interest in sailing or learning to sail, as well as other outdoor activities, would be an ideal candidate for this position.
