Sunsail Clubs currently recruit for Club Vounaki in Greece. Sailing is like the way of life here. The resort offers something for everyone both on and off the water and is the perfect family holiday escape, especially for those looking to learn something new.

Our Kid’s Clubs cater for all ages from 4 months to 17 year olds, and our shorebased activities include Tennis courts, fitness Studio and Mountain Biking.
 
The purpose of this role is to assist the Head Chef in the preparation and service of food, maintaining high levels of hygiene, safety and cleanliness in the kitchen. In doing so, maintaining all personal hygiene and company uniform requirements.

About the role
  • To assist in providing all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner and bar snacks) in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Ensure high standards of preparation, presentation and quality of food.
  • Assistance with the service of the daily set menu.
  • To take food samples of all high risk food in accordance with HACCP regulations and maintain records.
  • To be aware of stock levels and to assist in compiling orders as required
  • To receive deliveries of food ensuring it is checked, stored away correctly and rotated effectively in accordance with HACCP regulations
  • To work in the restaurant serving on buffets, breakfasts and other occasions as required.
  • To assist in providing special dietary requirements according to the needs of your guests.
  • To assist with the provision of special cakes and celebratory dishes on request.

Requirements

  • Passion for cooking and desire to produce high quality food
  • Previous experience running a kitchen
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Staff management skills
  • Understanding of working within budgets
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of health & safety legislation
  • Ability to work as a reliable member of the team as well working as an individual
  • Highly motivated individual
  • Good communication skills - oral and written
  • Computer Skills Qualifications
  • City & Guilds 901 & 902 or equivalent
  • Food Hygiene Certificate
  • First Aid certificate
