The Company
Ski Famille is an independently owned specialist in family ski holidays in the French Alps. We regularly enjoy high levels of return guests and staff.

The Role
Our chefs look after our guests in our larger chalets sleeping up to 21 guests, adults and children up to 5 families. You will be working with one or more chalet hosts. It will be your responsibility to manage the kitchen and ensure that all meals are cooked and presented to a consistently high standard. You will provide breakfast, afternoon tea and a 3-course meal, plus a separate children’s tea earlier in the evening. The chalet hosts will work alongside you, to provide a seamless and professional environment at all times.
As a catering professional you will ensure your kitchen is always clean and carry out a weekly deep clean. As part of the chalet team you will probably assist with some housekeeping duties on changeover day, to ensure the chalet is prepared for new arrivals.

The Person
We don’t insist of formal qualifications but many of our chefs will have been professionally trained to at least NVQ Level 2. If you are not qualified, you must be able to demonstrate cooking experience in a commercial environment and a real passion for food. You will need to be organised and well presented. As many of our kitchens are open plan you should expect to talk to the guests and enjoy the experience of discussing your cooking. You will be a keen team player as well as having the initiative to work on your own. We want individuals who are happy to go the extra mile. Your commitment to high quality service and ensuring a family friendly environment for all guests will also be a prime focus.
