Description

Birmingham City Football Club is looking for an experienced Retail Catering Manager!

The St Andrews Retail Catering provision serves refreshments to its customers on home match-days at St Andrews Stadium. Following this provision being taken in-house by Birmingham City FC from the start of the 2010/11 season, the Club now requires the services of a full-time Retail Catering Manager to lead a first class and high volume match-day public catering operation.

Based at St Andrew’s Stadium, Birmingham, B9 4RL, this is a full–time position (minimum 37.5 hours per week) plus attendance at all home match-days will be required.

This is a high level Managerial/Operational Appointment and the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire match day catering provision in all public areas at St Andrew’s Stadium.

Main responsibilities shall include, but shall not be limited to, managing the day to day operations and personnel, organising and controlling staff rota’s and costs, delivering necessary briefings, and implementation and monitoring of working procedures.  You will be required to work to pre-agreed budgets, and to develop and operate to KPIs to maximise profitability, while increasing customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Reporting into the Head of Commercial Operations the ideal candidate will possess experience of Retail Catering, have a background of Catering and hospitality with a proven track record for overseeing a major catering organisation or large venue, at a senior level, with management of a large team.

The successful candidate must be highly customer focused, financially competent, IT proficient, with a recognised qualification in Basic food hygiene and proven working knowledge of Health & Safety Requirements. This is a hands-on role and candidates will be required to lead by example.
