Description
Join the British Schools Exploring Society (BSES) as a Marketing Intern to gain experience in the marketing and sales activities of the BSES, to help raise our profile, promote expeditions and recruit Young Explorers.
Your main duties will encompass the following; however this list is not exhaustive:
* Setting up & delivering school talks & presentations to youth groups nationwide
* Responding to enquiries & capturing data
* Developing email (HTML) responses to enquiries
* Writing & editing website copy and other written materials
* Writing newsletter copy & overseeing design & printing
* Assisting with market research & competitor analysis
* Maintaining detailed contact database of schools & individuals
* Designing & ordering printed materials for BSES events
* Ordering merchandise
Requirements
It it essential that you be a graduate with experience of office work, design and copywriting. You should have expedition or gap year experience, and excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills. You should have working knowledge of MS Office and accurate spelling, punctuation and grammer. You should have a demonstrable passion for the outdoors. You should be outgoing and confident, flexible and a team player.
It is desirable that you have a degree in Geography/Environmental Science or a sports-based degree. Experience of speaking to large audences and website content management would be advantageous. A full, clean UK driving license and car, a First Aid qualification and an ML or similar qualification would also be advantageous.
