Description

Spend your Summer teaching English in Spain or work year-round as a Conversation Teacher!

ModLang offer Summer vacancies for teachers of English as a Foreign Language who enjoy working with children, on their Intensive English and Sports Course for Spanish children, aged 5 to 18 and also have year-round positions for Conversation Teachers for adults and children at their city-centre school.

For Summer positions contracts are of 2 to 8 weeks duration but most staff are required between 18th June and 15th July or 16th july to 12th August, so availability for these dates is an advantage. Positions are full-time from Monday to Friday with weekends free. Since the course is essentially non-residential, Teachers are accommodated in shared apartments in the city centre arranged for them by ModLang. Transport to school and meals are included for teachers on working days.

Year-round Conversation Teachers teach 25 contact hours per week and contracts can be for a Term or full academic year (September to June).

Requirements

The positions are ideal for both those who are new to teaching, to gain valuable experience either during their Summer holidays or a whole academic year and also for more experienced teachers looking for a new challenge.

Successful applicants should have degree-level education and may come from a wide range of backgrounds and disciplines such as Modern Languages, Drama, Music, Leisure or PGCE courses and many are primary or secondary school teachers or EFL teachers looking to turn their hand to working with Spanish children. An EFL qualification or EFL teaching experience are an advantage.

Interviews are held in cities around the UK and Ireland in March and April.
